SAP BPC Application at FFC Goes Live

In first such implementation of its nature in Pakistan, the Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has formally gone Live on 4th November 2013 with SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) Application, making it a landmark achievement for both Abacus and FFC. With the implementation of BPC solution, FCC has become a part of a unique block of organizations whose planning and actual transaction processing is now running on a common platform. The applications implemented at FFC are:

  • Maintenance Planning
  • Expense Budgeting
  • Insurance Planning
  • Financial Cost & Income Planning
  • Consolidation

BPC is a full-size project which will affect the entire FFC, including all the locations, functions and cost centers. Before the BPC solution was implemented, planning & budgeting had been performed on Excel and Oracle based applications. All the locations had their own formats for input and reports. Therefore from a solution point of view, it was a huge challenge to transform complete budgeting and planning process to SAP ECC structures and codes so that the comparison between the planned and actual can be made possible.

This is expected to be the best value addition in terms of in-house operations that is going to take place in FFC in years to come.
