ABL Launches SMS Banking Implemented by Abacus

Allied Bank has rolled out a new service offering that will enable its customers to carry out all kind of financial transactions through SMS. ABL had contracted SAP and Abacus for provision and implementation of its SMS banking services, which were conducted, executed and delivered in the most professional manner. A statement issued by the bank said that Bank customers can now manage their Allied Bank Accounts using any mobile phone, having SMS facility, without requiring internet or GPRS.

Allied bank claimed that with “Allied SMS Banking” the mobile transactions will be secure and convenient for customers, as Abacus had taken extreme caution and provided in-depth attention to detail during the implementation process.

Allied SMS Banking aims to compete with branchless banking services. With its offering of transacting financial activities through SMS, a wider audience with limited access to Bank Branches will now be able to maintain and manage bank accounts. Due to vast experience and expertise of Abacus, the project was implemented smoothly and effectively, and it is hoped that immense value will be added to service offerings of ABL through this service.
